Chelsea has been dabbling in Lindy hop since 1996. Her only claim to fame is that she taught Dax Hock how Lindy Hop, and especially how to syncopate his darn triple steps. She has danced on stages all over the country, organized lots of cool Lindy events, and is pleased to call many amazing Lindy Hoppers friend. She loves this crazy dance, and wants to share it with whoever is curious enough to give it a try.

Meghan exhibits her enthusiasm for swing with her favorite dance quote: “If I can’t dance, I don’t want to be part of your revolution!” Meghan started dancing back at the turn of the millennium. She is up for just about any type of dance, but specializes in Lindy, East Coast, Charleston, and Balboa. Swing C'ville would cease to exist without her amazing, meticulous, OCD tendencies in the Lab.

Mike is the Lindy Lab's tap dancing, Google Calendar guru. He's been mixing up Lindy Potions for a long time. If you want to learn some vintage jazz moves, grab this Mad Man during Lindy Labs. He knows how to break it down and make it easy!

Courtney showed up randomly this fall, and C'ville is lucky to have her. She's danced with lots of cool people, and she will dance with you. And you will say, "I love dancing with Courtney!" Everyone does!

Rob is one of C'ville's favorite leads, a dance just isn't a dance without him. We consider him our Swing C'ville Poster Boy. Just look for sparkly blue eyes and the shining smile! Rob is a courteous Scientist, and usually the sweatiest, as no one ever lets him sit one out.

David is Swing C'ville's videographer, DJ, cuddly teddy bear, and King of the Swinglets. His claim to fame is a three hour setlist of vintage jazz songs about FOOD. He likes pie, he likes cake. And he's tons of fun on the dancefloor!

Kate is the vice president of the UVA Swing Club. Is it her twinkly eyes, adorable smile or her all around awesomeness on the dancefloor that makes her so much fun? Kate is about as Lindy obsessed as any girl could be, AND she dances in heels! Who could ask for anything more? All the boys love to dance with Miss Kate.

Melissa wins the prize for Most Enthusiastic and Most Infectious Smile! We're hard at work training her as our next Mad Scientist, you'll see her at all the Lindy Labs and every dance from here to Timbuktu. She just loves it that much. We are so happy to have her on board!

More Mad Scientists Coming Soon!
