Please read the below FAQ to answer some of our most frequently asked questions, followed by some things you need to know before coming to the Lab:

Where is the Lindy Crash Course held?

The Lindy Crash Course takes place at our Secret Lair, formerly known as Spin City Dance Studio, which is located inside The Glass Building at 313 2nd St SE, Suite 108.  More info by clicking here.

What do I do when I arrive?

When you arrive, please stop at the door to pick up your punchcard (if you have purchased a punchcard online) or pay at the door for your Lab Time. ($15/crash course; $5/regular lab)

Do I need a partner for the Lindy Crash Course?

Absolutely not!  We will provide one for you. Lindy Hop is a social dance, so we rotate partners frequently during class to expose you to as many different partners as possible. Rotating partners helps aide in the learning process, and also allows us to work easily with classes that have an uneven number of leaders and followers.

Do I need special shoes?

The most important thing to remember is that street shoes are NOT allowed in the studio, so please bring a pair of shoes to change in to that are clean on the bottom and will not scratch, smudge, or harm the bamboo floors of the studio.

We recommend that you wear a comfortable shoe that does not have a very high heel, has a smooth surface on the bottom, and DOES NOT FALL OFF!  This can be anything from a nice pair of Aris Allen dance shoes to a pair of Keds knock-offs from Walmart. Flip flops, slides, mules=No.

May I bring snacks?

Food and beverages can be consumed outside of the studio or in the kitchen, but are not allowed on the floor with the exception of bottled water.

Caring for our Secret Lair:

Street shoes are not allowed on the studio floor.

Please bring a pair of shoes with a clean, smooth sole for dancing.  If you do not have a pair of dance shoes, you'll need to clean those suckers off in the restroom!

Release Form

All students are required to sign a release form prior to attending the Lindy Crash Crash Course. Arrive five minutes early to fill out this form prior to class.
