Monday, January 18, 2010 at 05:59PM In an effort to quickly raise money for emergency relief and reconstruction efforts, a group of Charlottesville area professors, business owners, and musicians have partnered to host an unprecedented benefit concert.
“Hoos for Haiti” will bring together 5 bands under one roof for an evening of music and dancing to support a great cause. 100% of proceeds will go to support relief efforts in Haiti. The proceeds will benefit Partners in Health, www.pih.org, an international relief agency that has served the poorest communities in Haiti for over 25 years, and GHESKIO, www.gheskio.org, a medical group working in Port au Prince with strong ties to the Charlottesville community.
