Sunday, February 7, 2010 at 10:11PM Hey Folks,
With more winter weather on the way we may have to make some changes to our weekly schedule. Never fear! SwingC'ville will do its best to stay open and if the roads are clear and we feel that it is safe, we will be open for business!
If we do need to stay home due to safety concerns, be sure that you are in the loop when it comes to SwingC'ville events. Here's how to keep track of us:
Stay safe, stay warm, and we'll see you on the dancefloor!

Nothing happens without all of the great volunteers who put in effort to making these events a success and we want as many people to be involved as possible! We'll be organizing ourselves into teams to help divide out the different roles here at SwingC'ville. Come with ideas! We want to hear from you!

Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 01:48PM Look! An Alien!!Wow. I don't think that I have ever been to a workshop weekend like the one we just had here in C'ville. For two full days and nights, dancers from Greensboro, Blacksburg, Bristol, DC, and more travelled to Charlottesville to party out hard and learn some amazing new skills. We had blues dancers, lindy hoppers, tango folks, and west coast folks all together - FUSING their dance skills together. Andrew Sutton truly is the Lindy + Blue + Fusion Jedi Master.
Andrew's classes were so incredible. His teaching stlye is one-of-a-kind and I know that each of us in attendance are going to take away some valuable new information to help us make our dancing more enjoyable.
SOCKS!One person asked me to describe this weekend, and I just can't do it justice! Maybe a haiku:
I'll wait for the X
Ba ba da da ba da - DING!
We love you Andrew
Post below with your favorite lessons, moments, take-aways from the workshop!
